For over 150 years, Harvey’s Home Heating and Harvey’s Oil has been a proud Newfoundland and Labrador- operated company. We’ve grown to be the largest home-heat provider on the Avalon Peninsula, by continually changing to meet the needs of our customers.

HOME HEATING FACILITIES AND SERVICES

Our modern fleet of trucks are equipped with the latest technology, for rapid delivery, precise measurement systems, and ensuring accurate billing.

We provide online account information, including billing, ordering options & service contract information.

At our Water Street offices we offer the same friendly, service and every call is handled locally by dedicated staff, happy to answer your questions and recommend the best option to suit your needs. Our team of fully-certified burner technicians are available 24/7 to look after any repairs you may require.

COMMERCIAL FACILITIES AND SERVICES

Our commercial fuels division supplies business heating, diesel fuel and on-site spot fills. We provide large-volume diesel storage tanks for your facility, with a variety of options to track each unit’s consumption, saving you money through efficiencies.

Harvey’s Oil is a proud partner of Petro-Canada Lubricants, part of Suncor Energy, and is the only 100 per cent, Canadian-owned and operated lubricants manufacturer. Harvey’s offers fully-certified lubricants for marine, construction, transportation, manufacturing, food production, forestry and mining industries. Our local warehouse (12,500 sq. ft.) and technical support staff help keep your equipment running at top performance for maximum life.

Our History

Harvey’s Home Heating and Harvey’s Oil has been serving the people of the North East Avalon area for over 150 years. As part of the A. Harvey Group of Companies, our focus has always been clear – to put the needs of our customers first and support those in the community who support us.

The A. Harvey Group is one of Newfoundland’s most historic and diversified businesses. Our management group and board of directors, helmed by chairman Susan Harvey Patten granddaughter of the founder, is a vital and integral part of the Newfoundland and Labrador economy. The A. Harvey Group employs approximately 500 people throughout the province.

Meet Our Staff

Harvey’s team is a dedicated, highly-skilled group of people who believe in taking care of all of our customers, just like our Warmest Friends.

Management

CHRISTOPHER FORWARD: General Manager; Chris has held various positions within the A. Harvey Group since 2008. He has a Bachelor of Business Administration from Memorial University and was formerly involved in operations of his family’s home heating company; Forward’s Oil.

PHILIP ROWE: Controller; Philip originally joined the A. Harvey Group in 1988 and has worked with various divisions within the group, starting with Harvey’s Oil Limited in 2013. Philip has more than 25 years of industry experience in various capacities, is a CPA and originally from Heart’s Content.

ROBERT HAYWARD: Sales Manager; Robert joined Harvey’s Oil in September of 2017. He graduated from the MUN School of Business in 2004 and brings a wealth of sales knowledge from such companies as Molson Coors Canada, PepsiCo Foods Canada and BMO.

KEN COLLINS: Marine Terminal Supervisor; Ken has been with Harvey’s since 2007 and lives in Cowan Heights.

PAUL YETMAN: Operations Manager; Paul has been employed with Harvey’s Oil since 1986. Paul manages all operational aspects of the company. Paul lives in Paradise with his wife and son.

TRUDY MICHAEL: Assistant Controller; Trudy has been employed with Harvey’s since 1988 and currently holds the position of Assistant Controller. Trudy resides in St John’s with her husband Craig and daughter Amanda.

WAYNE HARVEY: Warehouse Team Lead; Wayne joined the Harvey's team in May 2019.

ALPHONSUS DOBER: Service Manager; Joined the Harvey's team in 2022. Alphonsus uses his 10 plus years of construction and industrial experience to maintain a safe and organized work environment.

ELAINE PIKE: Credit & Collections Team Lead; Elaine has been a part of the Harvey’s team for 25 years, starting in 1991. She has three daughters and lives in the Goulds with her husband John.

Sales

ANDREW MULLALY: Business Development Specialist - Mini Split Division; Andrew has been employed with Harvey’s since November 2020 and currently resides in St. John’s with his fiance and two cats, Oscar & Calvin.

EVAN KENT: Business Development Specialist; Evan joined the Harvey’s sales team in 2018.

KAYLA CARROLL: Customer Care Specialist; Kayla joined HHH in March 2013. She has almost 10 years of sales experience. Kayla was also enrolled in the Canadian Forces for 8 years. Sales has always been something Kayla excelled at, and couldn’t be happier working as Harvey’s Oil Customer Care Specialist.

COURTNEY STEVENS: Brand & Culture Specialist; Courtney joined the Harvey's team in December 2018.

PAUL MCDONALD: Industrial Lubricant Specialist; Paul joined Harvey’s in March 2014 and has more than 25 years of experience in the industrial sales industry. Please contact Paul for all technical support on lubricants.

Administration

CATHY CARTER: Credit & Collections Support; Cathy joined the Harvey's team in November 2019. She has over 20 years of customer service experience.

JUSTIN KAVANAGH: Senior Staff Accountant; Justin joined the Harvey’s team in November 2019. He graduated from Memorial University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Business Administrations degree.

CAROLA MOSCOSO: Accounts Payable; Carola joined the Harvey’s team in May 2022. She moved from Peru with her husband and little daughter and currently resides in St. John’s. Carola has 14 years of experience in customer service and different administrative areas.

JACKIE GREEN: Receptionist; Jackie joined the Harvey’s team in 2014. She has over 20 years of customer service experience. Jackie lives in Portugal Cove with her husband Calvin and two sons Brad and Brandon.

Service & Delivery

STEVE MOORES: Burner Mechanic; Steve joined Harvey’s in 2003 as a burner mechanic apprentice and has since become a Red Seal Burner Mechanic. He lives in St. John's with his wife, Lisa and his two standard poodles, Harvey and Milo.

CHRIS SPRACKLIN: Burner Mechanic; Chris is a Red Seal journeyman burner mechanic with Harvey’s since 1983. Chris lives in Kilbride with his wife Linda and is a proud dad of four children and six grandchildren.

DAVE SHARPE: Burner Mechanic; Dave has more than 25 years experience as a Red Seal journeyman burner mechanic. He joined Harvey’s in April 2013 and lives in Paradise with his wife and two kids.

TOMMY HARRIGAN: Burner Mechanic; Tommy has 10 years of experience as a Red Seal journeyman burner mechanic. He has been employed with Harvey’s since 2013. Tommy lives in Witless Bay with his wife Kendra, daughter Layla and son Dawson.

DYLAN SNOW: BURNER MECHANIC; Dylan grew up in Mount Pearl, and currently resides in St. John's with his girlfriend and dog, Gally (named after his favorite hockey player). Dylan has been with Harvey's since 2014.

DARRELL HANN: Burner Mechanic; Darrell is a Red Seal journeyman burner mechanic with Harvey’s since 2004. He lives in Paradise.

DAVE DUTTON: Burner Mechanic; Dave is a Red Seal journeyman burner mechanic, who’s been with Harvey’s since 1994. He lives in Paradise with his wife and son.

FRED BUFFETT: Burner Mechanic; Fred is a Red Seal journeyman burner mechanic and has worked with Harvey’s since 1991. He currently lives in St John’s.

JAMIE PENNEY: Distributor; Jamie has been a distributor for Harvey’s since 2020 and lives in St John’s.

ZACK PENNEY: Distributor; Zack has been a distributor for Harvey’s since 2020 and lives in St John’s.

GERRY PENNEY: Distributor; Gerry has been a distributor for Harvey’s since 2013 and lives in St John’s.

NICK MCGRATH: Distributor; Nick has been a distributor for Harvey’s since 1991 and services Conception Bay, Paradise, and Mount Pearl.

GARY JOY: Distributor; Gary has been a distributor for Harvey’s since 1983 and lives in St John’s.

LINDA TEE: Service Co-ordinator / Dispatcher; Linda has been with Harvey’s since 2009.

CAITLIN LERICHE: Assistant Operations Team Lead; Caitlin has been with Harvey’s since November 2015. She has completed the Business Management Program at CNA majoring in Marketing and has several years experience in customer service. Caitlin currently resides in the east end of St. John’s.

LORI ANNE WHITE: Delivery Coordinator; Initially Lori Anne started at Browning Harvey in 2012 as a Full Service Vendor before leaving in Nov 2015 to join A. Harvey & Company as a Receptionist. In October 2016, she joined Harvey's Home Heating as our Receptionist, and has since moved on to become our Delivery Coordinator. Born and raised in St. John’s, but now residing in Paradise with her husband David and her 3 kittens.

NOEL JOY: Bulk Lubricants Driver; Noel has been with Harvey’s since 1998. He currently lives in Mount Pearl and has 2 daughters.
